During this process of learning more about
humility, the most profound result of all was the change in our attitude toward
God.
12 & 12, p. 75
Today my prayers consist mostly of saying thank you to my Higher Power for my sobriety and for the wonder of God’s abundance, but I need also to ask for help and the power to carry out His will for me. I no longer need God each minute to rescue me from the situations I get myself into by not doing His will. Now my gratitude seems to be directly linked to humility. As long as I have the humility to be grateful for what I have, God continues to provide for me.

My thoughts on July 18th Reading
God is never changing, but I am and I
need His guidance to change myself daily, God gave me the serenity to accept
change my life style, to be in tune with his will, acceptance is change in the
making, I was told to change, or fear going back out
Situations are a part of life and each
one teaches us new things about ourselves, change with humility is how to over
come them, to become a better person, for learning the lesson
Each time I take a new direction in my
life, I am given a new chance to learn humility, change is the one constant in
my life, yet even today it causes me unrest, when I forget that change is
growth, change is good, it ensures emotional well being
It promises freedom from that spirit of
myself, on my journey through the twelve steps, acceptance of change with
humility comes from my recalling things in the past, and change brings new
understanding, greater strength, and confidence in all things
God wants us all to enlarge our capacity to
love, serve, and understand today I can smile if a change for the good comes my
way without the fear, knowing that it’s God’s invitation to a richer life
In the care of God everything is in good
hands, God does give me everything I need to change, all I need to do is accept
His help, I accept change willingly with serenity, knowing its for the best
that I need the change to become a better person
God bless you Al M
