Until
we had talked with complete candor of our conflicts, and had listened to
someone else do the same thing, we still didn’t belong. TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE
TRADITIONS, p. 57
After
four years in A.A. I was able to discover the freedom from the burden of buried
emotions that had caused me so much pain. With the help of A.A., and extra
counseling, the pain was released and I felt a complete sense of belonging and
peace. I also felt a joy and a love of God that I had never experienced before.
I am in awe of the power of Step Five

My
thoughts on May 11th Reading
Because of AA I am fortunate enough to
enjoy a sense of balance, I know I must be vigilant and protect it for myself,
freedom is a responsibility I willingly assume I know that in freedom we have
the chance to grow, It gives me the opportunity to make the best of my life
Friends are one of the greatest gifts of
our recovery, and they come as a result of a life that's sane and manageable.
It takes time and energy to make and keep good friends, but the rewards are
worth it. To these special people we can gladly give our honesty, our trust,
and our unconditional love
Since the program, its slogans are talked
about at length, it's easy for anyone to find a new sense of belonging,
fellowship is where people's everyday problems are talked about all the time,
it's enough for anyone to learn about life mouths that kept us sick for so
long, are now flapping to keep us well
AA is the beginning of recovery a
beginning of a fantastic way of life I never thought possible anyone who thinks
this is a program to just take and then move on with other parts of there lives
is just fooling themselves and are playing with there sobriety we need to be
active to keep it
The fellowship is a mixed bag of nuts all
coming together for sobriety where would we give this program back if we did
not have a fellowship a place to seek help and give help it is the fellowship
that makes this a living plan for continued recovery a new way of life
Where else could we find true Friends
ones who would stand by us in adversity hope and love is our strength it comes
from caring about our fellow sufferers to many have been that dark and lonely
place they are our hope and we are their hope
As I learn how to trust I participated in
a new friendship that give me understanding strength and love I need your
support and I always have found it through my program both on line and F2F we
are a cyber group who understand the meaning of spirit of fellowship
With out all the people who came before
me I would not have stayed sober, thank God that others are finding the same
trust and love we have found Our Twelfth Step tell us to reach out to others its
then the fellowship shines offering its experience strength and hope thru a
loving caring God who has blessed us with recovery
God bless you Al M
