The Joy
Of Sharing
Life
will take on new meaning. To watch people recover, to see them help others, to
watch loneliness vanish, to see a fellowship grow up about you. to have a host
of friends - this is an experience you must not miss. We know you will not want
to miss it. Frequent contact with newcomers and with each other is the bright
spot of our lives. ALCOHOLICS
ANONYMOUS , p. 89
To know that each newcomer with
whom I share has the opportunity to experience the relief that I have found in
this Fellowship fills me with joy and gratitude. I feel that all the things
described in A.A. will come to pass for them, as they have for me, if they
seize the opportunity and embrace the program fully.

Nothing will insure my own recovery as much as
work with other alcoholics, it works when others have fail, our twelfth step
suggestion, is Carry this message to other alcoholics, I could help when others
could not, I could secured confidence where others have fail,
I knew where they were coming from, after all I
was where they, now are, my life takes on a new meaning watching people grow,
to see the light come on and watch them transform into loving caring people, to
see them help others
Watching the hopelessness and loneliness vanish
with in them seeing our fellowship grow up about them to have a host of friends
they can count on, we only carry the message of recovery we do not and can not
carry any ones mess for them
Let go absolutely don't preach the program
share how it worked for you, by others sharing their experience strength and
hope with you, it’s what recovery is all about and this how we learn about the
unity of recovery
Unity is defined as singleness of purpose or
action, we sure have a single purpose, that is to carry the message of recovery
to all who are willing to surrender to their disease, when we reach out to help
others we all gain some real love and true friendships
Sobriety is helping others to find themselves,
I found so many people on my journey, they wanted for me what was given to them
in the beginning of their journey, I have learned that when I give
unconditional love I always get it back, its hard to not receive the love back
Maybe not from those who I give it to, but God
does return to anyone giving freely of their time trying to help others, living
by His will we get as good as we give, we help ourselves, working with others,
improves our own judgment of character
We seek others that have the things God wants
us to have in our own lives, we sit and listen to others, then watch their
actions, we know who we need to seek out to help us with our own recovery, so
it is all about helping myself thru working with others
Many in AA are looking for the same things we
were given when we first walked into the halls, we also learn from all of you,
remembering what it was like before we learned to trust, these meetings are but
a beginning of a new way of life
Trusting gods wisdom knowing we can not keep
this fellowship, unless we give it all away each and every day, reach out to
the one who still suffers and you will receive ten fold for your efforts, even
when they slip you learn patience, tolerance, and understanding, of your own
disease
And with this new knowledge you grow in the
fellowship, your own life is always enriched when you reach out to your fellow
sufferer, God gave us this gift to use in helping others recover from this same
disease we had suffered from we have to use it or we will lose everything we
gained
God bless you Al M
